Steve Merrony

Steve studied clarinet with John Reynolds in Hertfordshire, then at University College Cardiff (along with voice). Most recently he has performed with the Bartholomew Trio in London.

Lessons are available at all levels up to Grade 8.

Lessons are available on the Soprano and Alto saxes.

Steve has been playing the remarkably versatile and expressive Akai EWI4000s Electric Wind Instrument in public for a number of years. Although the instrument has a significant following in the jazz world, he is convinced that its potential in 'classical' music has yet to be fully realised.

Here is a quick demo of Steve playing the Bach-Gounod 'Ave Maria' on the EWI - the accompaniment was played on the GENPO organ.
